A unique exhibition "Books as a Gift to the President" has opened in the Vitebsk Regional Library named after V. I. Lenin

The exhibition "Books as a Gift to the President" offers 50 publications from the personal fund of Alexander Lukashenko, donated to the Presidential Library.

- During official visits and business meetings, the head of state is often presented with book publications. And he donated over 160 copies from his personal collection to the Presidential Library. Some of them are presented at this exhibition," said the director of the regional library Tatyana Adamyan.

The exposition includes books on various topics: world history, fiction, art, spiritual heritage, economics, science, sports.

At the exhibition, you can see books about the Great Patriotic War and genocide. Visitors can get acquainted with the elite 4-volume reprint of the memoirs and reflections of the legendary Marshal Georgy Zhukov.

The photo albums reflect art from painting to architecture: "Pavlovsk. Art Collections", "Russian Landscape Painting", "Country Imperial Residences: Everyday Life, Holidays, Tragedies".

Among the exhibits are information-rich, colorfully designed publications that tell about the cultural and natural wealth of China and Brazil. Unusual books from the Celestial Empire are interesting in their design (the pages are connected in the form of an accordion) and content.

The books at the exhibition are unique not only in their content, but also in their design. They represent certain achievements of the culture of design and printing. Book publications are qualitatively designed, illustrated; Some of them have special gift packaging, boxes, dust jackets.

- The value and uniqueness of many books are given by the autographs and dedicatory inscriptions left in them. Such an extensive collection eloquently testifies to the scale of the official and public diplomacy of sovereign Belarus," Yulia Vaylunova-Shinkevich, head of the Department of Marketing and Socio-Cultural Activities, shared her opinion.

The exhibition is open until November 25.
