Christmas tree markets in Vitebsk will open on December 20. They have been operating in forestry enterprises and forestries of the region since December 16.
In total, it is planned to sell about 10 thousand natural spruce and pine trees.
The price of a New Year tree at the Christmas tree markets in the regional center is uniform and will depend on the height of the tree. Thus, a fluffy beauty up to a meter will be offered for purchase for 12.50 rubles, up to 2 meters - for 15.80 rubles, up to 3 meters - for 22.96 rubles, and New Year trees in tubs - for 22.96 rubles.
According to Tatyana Prokopenko, Head of the Trade and Services Department of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, 16 sites for selling natural spruce and pine trees have been identified in our city. They will be located at the Polotsky, Smolensky, and Yuzhny markets; at 3/1 Smolenskaya Street near store No. 23 “Vitebsk Products”; Chkalova (near the Yug-7 bus stop); 44 Mira; Titova (near house No. 113); 11a Voinov-Internationalistov (near the Kopeechka store); 64a Pravda (near the Dobronom store); at the intersections of Maksim Gorky and Akademika Pavlova Streets; Smolenskaya and Frunze Avenue. Additional sites for selling forest beauties can be organized by agreement with the city executive committee.
Christmas tree markets will be open from 8:00 to 20:00.
By the way, it is worth remembering that you cannot cut down fir trees and pines on your own without permission. On the eve of Christmas and New Year, and on the holidays themselves, employees of the state forest protection service will conduct raids and patrols of forests, coniferous young trees near roads and populated areas. Along with them, traffic police officers and the State Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora under the President of the Republic of Belarus will be on duty at the posted posts. Anyone transporting fir trees and pines must have documents confirming their purchase. The forest guards will also be armed with photo and video recording cameras. A fine is provided for unauthorized felling of a fir tree: from 5 to 30 basic units for an individual, from 20 to 200 for an individual entrepreneur, and from 50 to 300 for a legal entity.
