In Vitebsk, scammers tried to deceive women, making them believe that they were involved in the capture of intruders

Details of this story are provided by the telegram channel "Militia of Vitebsk region".

The scammers called, posing as counter replacement workers, and lured passport data. Then the false employees of the law enforcement agencies called, saying that the women had become victims of fraudsters applying for loans in their names.

 The scammers persuaded the pensioners to go to the bank, apply for a loan and transfer money to a "secure" account, promising cancellation of previous loans.

The women issued loans in the amount of 15 to 75 thousand rubles, but thanks to the vigilance of bank employees and the police, they did not manage to transfer 285 thousand rubles to fraudsters.

Remember, officials do not contact citizens on work issues in messengers and do not ask for help in catching intruders. In case of such calls, immediately stop the conversation and inform the police.
