Mikhail Rusy: readiness for the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia is the highest

The readiness for the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia is the highest, Chairman of the Standing Commission of the Council of the Republic on Legislation and State Building Mikhail Rusy told reporters during a meeting of the Interparliamentary Commission of the Council of the Republic and the Federation Council on interregional cooperation in Vologda,transmitsBelTA correspondent.

“For the first time, three cities are involved in holding the forum - Vitebsk, Polotsk, Novopolotsk. On the one hand, this is somewhat difficult, but on the other, it gives a new impetus. And we see this from the increased number of participants, from the number of agreements and treaties proposed for signing, memorandums. And the most important result of the forum is contracts. There are quite serious progress and progress in a number of sections,” said Mikhail Rusy.

The chairman of the commission assessed the preparations for the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia: “Everything is going according to schedule, clearly, as we have described. The level of readiness is the highest. And I think that the assessment will also be given by the forum participants very high.”

The XI Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia on the topic “The Role of Interregional Cooperation in Building the Innovative Economy of the Union State” will be held on June 27-28. During the forum, exhibition and presentation events, breakout sessions, and cultural program events will take place. A meeting is planned between the Chairman of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova and the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko with the heads of government authorities of the regions of the two countries, a plenary session of the forum, the signing of cooperation agreements, commercial contracts and other documents at all forum sites.
 

The organizers of the forum are the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
