More than 750 schoolchildren will spend their summer holidays at the Yunost health camp near Novolukoml

Children's health camps play a key role in children's summer vacations. The few days that children spend in these institutions contain so many events and impressions that they remain in their memory for a lifetime. The focus is on health improvement: organizing a regimen, nutrition, meaningful leisure. This is a territory where, like nowhere else, you feel that children are the main citizens of the country.

For several generations

More than 750 schoolchildren will have a rest this summer in the health camp "Yunost" of RUE "Vitebskenergo" near Novolukoml. Lucky ones - you can't say otherwise about the children who have the opportunity to spend an unforgettable shift in a pine forest on the shore of the huge Lukoml Lake. The scenery is stunning. The territory of the camp is no less, where every corner is equipped for a full physical and emotional rest for the children.

The year before last, the dormitories were completely renovated, and last year the sanitary blocks were updated and modernized. A luxurious football field with artificial turf, a gym, gazebos, and many play areas were built. The central place is occupied by an impressive-sized tent, where it is convenient to hold events and assemblies in any weather. Another favorite place for children is the club: concerts, film screenings, and rehearsals are also held there.

The children speak with delight about the organization of food, leisure, and the attitude of the teachers. The best confirmation of such an assessment is the fact that from year to year they strive to get on vacation here, call each other, agree on what shift they will meet each other.

- - Our favorite camp is holding its 45th season this year, - reports the head of "Yunost" Tatyana Varlamova. - On this occasion, an open day was held during the first shift. Adults who once vacationed here themselves and now send their children here came to the meeting. Parents became our seventh detachment for the evening, immersed themselves in an atmosphere of carelessness and spontaneity: they sang, danced, played, competed equally with the children.

"Yunost" is a departmental camp of the RUE "Vitebskenergo", where vouchers are allocated primarily to children of employees of the regional energy system enterprises and partner organizations.

During the existence of the camp, about 25 thousand vouchers were allocated for the health improvement of schoolchildren.

This is part of an internal company social program aimed at improving the health and meaningful recreation of the younger generation.

On a regional scale

Children's health improvement is one of the constant directions of Belarus as a social state. Significant funds are allocated not only for the development of camp infrastructure, but also for reducing the cost of vouchers. Enterprises and trade unions contribute to this process, and in most cases parents contribute only a part of this amount.

Even a child from an ordinary, not large family can visit a camp three times during the summer on a reduced ticket. Once - in a camp with a 24-hour stay, the second - in a camp with a day stay, the third - in a specialized camp with a 24-hour stay.

More children will improve their health in country camps – it is planned to allocate about 17 thousand vouchers. In addition, the practice of organizing day camps continues. They operate on the basis of 620 educational and sports institutions, and 25.5 thousand children will improve their health in them.

In In order to satisfy the interests of schoolchildren in a certain area of knowledge and creativity, to help them master skills and abilities in various types of activities, military-patriotic, tourist-local history, art and other specialized camps are organized. More than 12.5 thousand children will rest in them. Almost another 1 thousand - in labor camps.

Traditionally, the authorities and teachers pay close attention to the health of children in need of social protection.
