Ekaterina Pisarik from Postav has never dreamed of having a large family. Now, together with her husband Vitaly, they are raising eight children, proving by their example that a big family is happiness.
I met my husband 19 years ago at the Zvinyats Tsymbaly i Harmonik festival. Voropaevsky immediately liked Ekaterina. A friendship was formed. A year later, the young people got married. A year later, Lisa was born, and the young mother left her studies at the Luzhesnyansky agricultural College, postponed her dream of entering the Vitebsk Veterinary Academy and becoming a veterinarian. Lisa grew up, Vika was born, and then one by one six boys.
– It is only when children appear that you realize that their lives are more precious than your own, – the mother of many children believes.
Her husband was seriously ill with covid, Ekaterina was then with six children, pregnant with her seventh. The doctors saved my husband.
"Strangers helped me get through that difficult time," the woman recalls. – We cooked and brought food, looked after the children. I will remain grateful to them all my life.
After that, Ekaterina began to go to the Sunday school of the Postavsky Church. Together with her husband, she studied at the seminary in Zhirovichi. Vitaly received the right to serve in the church while he works as a welder at Dawn Postavsky. The team says that he is an excellent specialist.
"And my father, too," adds Ekaterina. – Attentive, caring.
The family built a three-room apartment on general terms when they had two children. Later, with state support, they built another two-room apartment, and bought a cottage in Voropaevo with family capital.
The cottage is an outlet for everyone. The children have plenty of room for games, the mother has flower beds and a vegetable garden. My father has worries about home improvement. Everyone goes to the forest together to pick mushrooms, swim, and chase a ball in the yard.
The elder Lisa graduated from secondary and music schools, entered the Vitebsk Medical University. Vika is following in her sister's footsteps. In music school, she learns to play the violin and also dreams of becoming a doctor, this year she went to the 9th grade. Timofey is in the seventh grade and continues to master the accordion playing. Together with his brother Kirill (he is a fourth grader), they are fond of freestyle wrestling. Misha is in the second grade. Lyosha and Pasha are kindergarten students. Sasha is not even a year old yet. Schoolchildren willingly attend the "Young Designer" circle, study at the Sunday school at the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Postavy. They don't have time to hang out on the Internet. Besides studying, everyone has household responsibilities.
– We are happy, we live surrounded by love and care. "My house is my fortress" is about us, says Ekaterina.
