In the near future, new conditions for the appointment and early use of family capital will begin to operate in Belarus.

New conditions are being introduced in our country for the appointment and early use of family capital.

The innovations are fixed by Decree of the Head of State No. 69 dated February 23, 2024.

Early use of family capital for housing is possible only if There are not enough "squares".

If the goal is to spend family capital on a house or apartment, then those families who own less than 15 square meters will be able to do this. m per person. And if they are Minsk residents, then less than 10 sq. m. per person.

In order for the family to be assigned family capital, an able-bodied father It has to work. The employment of the father will now also be taken into account in the early disposal of the family capital.

If a family wants to allocate funds for housing, medical services or education until the child comes of age, an able-bodied father, stepfather in a full-time family (or a parent in an incomplete one) must work for at least 12 months in the last two years before they applied for a state support measure.

Other norms are also introduced:

• It is impossible to sell a house or apartment bought for family capital.
• Family capital will be assigned if the children are in decent conditions.
• Unreasonably spent funds will be returned to the budget.

The provisions of the decree come into force on May 28, 2024.For applications from families submitted before this date, the previous rules will continue to apply.
