As part of the republican social and cultural campaign "Marathon of Unity", an exhibition dedicated to the history of the Great Patriotic War is being held on the site in front of the Vitebsk Ice Palace of Sports. Visitors will be able to get acquainted with the mobile exposition, organized on the basis of materials from the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War.
The exhibition includes story photographs, copies of historical documents, posters, reproductions of paintings and photographic portraits of both Belarusians and representatives of various nationalities of the USSR, who became heroes of the liberation of Belarus.
The exhibition is divided into three parts, each of which highlights the key stages of the war. The first section is devoted to the heroic defense of the Brest fortress and the fighting of the Red Army in Belarus in the summer of 1941. The second section tells about the partisan movement in Belarus in 1941-1944, in which 374 thousand partisans and 70 thousand underground workers participated. The third section is dedicated to the liberation of Belarus. 1943 - 1944.
Lilia Novaya, a teacher at D. Raitsev School No. 42, was among those who attended an exciting tour with her students at the mobile museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War.
— This museum is really impressive, — the teacher shared. — Nowadays it is especially necessary for the younger generation to realize the heroic past of their country. It's nice to see how children listen attentively to the tours and actively ask questions.
