Republican stage of the festival «Belarus — my song» opened Vitebsk region
Vitebsk region became the center of attention not only in Moscow at VDNH, but also in the capital of our Motherland. In Minsk, the republican stage of the festival «Belarus — my song» kicked off. Vitebsk was the first to open it in the Palace of the Republic with a gala concert «Vicebskaya batleika”.
In the foyer of the Palace of the Republic, the guests of the event were able to get acquainted with the exhibition of elements of intangible cultural heritage “Vicebshchyna: historya, tradytsyi, spadchyna”. Traditional crafts were presented at the exhibition: straw weaving, vytinanka, ceramics, insensitive art and much more. Everyone was able to take part in various master classes, get acquainted with traditional crafts, make something interesting with their own hands.
Director of the Cultural and Historical Complex «Golden Ring of Vitebsk «Dvin» Elena Chernykh shared his impressions:—Atmosphere in the Palace of the Republic is stunning. At the exhibition you can see all the achievements of Vitebsk region in recent years. The works of the masters of our complex — are also exhibited here. This is a vytinanka and an insensitive painting presented by the club of amateur artists “Kontur”. I would like to wish colleagues a good time, as well as successes in the new creative season.
«Batleika» — is an ancient Belarusian puppet theater, which has been known since the 17 century. His activity became one of the most interesting pages in the history of folk creativity of Belarus. The teams of the northern region in the concert program very brightly and talented presented the history of the emergence of Vitebsk cultural values. For this purpose they needed thousands of concert details and more than a hundred musical instruments. The leading programs carried out the audience through history. The military theme was not spared. The red thread traced the two main ideas of the gala concert — 80 years since the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the 85-th anniversary of the Vitebsk region. Bright, feerically, exciting — in this was convinced by each viewer.
All regions of our country will take part in the festival. According to the results of the show, the jury will determine the teams and performers whose numbers will be included in the program of the final gala concert, which will take place within the framework of the events dedicated to the Independence Day.
— Concert impressive, very emotional, — noted the chairman of the Vitebsk regional organization OO “Patriots of Belarus” Olga Matsyu. — During the concert I was delighted, I was filled with joyful emotions for our people, for preserving the traditions of the past. Vitebsk region was represented by different generations. Very much liked very young artists of our region. In one and a half hours I enjoyed all kinds of art — opera, ballet, circus and stage. Very proud of those, that in the Vitebsk region so many talented people. Culture of us all unites. I wish the native northern region prosperity.
