Rules of safe conduct at railway transport facilities

Over the past period of 2024, no facts of injuries to citizens at railway transport facilities were registered in the service area of the Polotsk District Department of Internal Affairs.

The Polotsk District Department of Internal Affairs appeals to all citizens using the services of railway transport with a convincing request to remember and strictly observe the safety rules on railway transport.

•The most important thing is to cross and cross the railway tracks only in specially designated places.

•If you have to cross an unguarded crossing, carefully follow the signals given by technical means and railway workers, make sure that there is no approaching train in sight.

•It is strictly forbidden to pass through a railway crossing at a prohibitory signal of the crossing signaling traffic light, regardless of the position and presence of a barrier.

Dear parents! Explain to children the safety rules on the railway, because they are not always able to correctly assess the situation and recognize the danger. We kindly ask you not to leave young children unattended. When crossing railway tracks, it is necessary to look around and remove hoods that limit visibility. Do not forget that listening to music in headphones or talking on the phone reduces vigilance.

The cause of road accidents at railway crossings is non-compliance with traffic rules by drivers of motor vehicles, driving under the influence of alcohol, often ignoring the requirement to stop before a prohibitory traffic light or a closed barrier. Driving through the railway tracks at a red traffic light, they neglect basic safety measures, without thinking about the possible tragic consequences.

Keep in mind that it is impossible to stop the train suddenly! Even after applying emergency braking measures, the driver will stop the train only after 800-1000 meters!Dozens of citizens are seriously injured under the wheels of railway transport every year. There are many cases of fatal injuries.Persons who violate the Rules are liable under the legislation of the Republic of Belarus!

The railway is not dangerous for those who follow the rules, who are attentive and careful, disciplined in the danger zone. And the rules of railway transport are simple, you just need to follow them.
