The closing of the third labor semester – 2024 took place in Vitebsk

Each of you has proved your love for the profession, education, and educational institution, not by word, but by deed, said Alexey Geroev, Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, during the city closing of the third labor semester.

– The state creates all the benefits so that young people are sure that their country needs them. Thanks to their participation in student groups, the fighters gained not only practical experience, but also provided all possible assistance to the host organizations. How we work depends on how we live. Our President always talks about this. I wish you to continue to be proactive, and we, for our part, will always support you," said Alexey Geroev.

In the current labor semester, 112 student groups were created in Vitebsk, which united more than 2.4 thousand children (41 agricultural, 36 pedagogical, 13 industrial, 10 service, 6 construction, 5 medical and 1 environmental group).

The fighters worked not only at specialized facilities, but also helped the city become more beautiful. So, a series of large-scale youth labor actions "Touched!" was organized, and also during the year the guys put things in order at military graves, monuments as part of the republican action "Labor is Cool!".

– Student groups are especially a movement that is remembered for a lifetime. Today, it allows you to combine work with study, gain useful skills and vivid impressions," said Viktor Glushin, Deputy Chairman of the City Executive Committee.

The event noted the best commanders, commissars, student detachments, which have clearly manifested themselves in regional and republican projects, territorial headquarters.

So, in terms of activities, the best student team was the Molniya student service unit named after Hero of the Soviet Union Alexei Fedorovich Patrin.

– This summer we worked at the children's health camp "Lesnaya Skazka", helped the cooks in the kitchen – this was mainly done by the girls – and in holding events dedicated to the National Unity Day, – said the commander of the detachment Pavel Trukhan. – Being in the student team is an opportunity to try yourself in a particular activity, to understand what interests you professionally. And it's cool, because you get valuable experience and realize that work is cool!

The employment of young people during the third labor semester was largely determined by the host organizations – Tolochinsky Cannery, Vitebsk City Clinical Hospital of Emergency Medical Care, JSC Vitebsk Carpets, UP Rudakovo, PC Olgovskoye, JSC Naftan, etc. Thanks were given to the employers, because high labor performance is the result of teamwork.
