A teleconference was held in Neftegrad between librarians from Novopolotsk and Kursk, where colleagues touched upon issues of professional development, exchanged experience in family education and discussed joint projects for 2025.
The Russian Kursk and the flagship of the Belarusian petrochemical industry have been linked by strong partnership and sister-city relations since 2014. The first meeting between employees of the centralized library systems of the two cities took place in September 2024.
Another teleconference with the kuryans called "Family. Book. The Novopolochans held a library in the central library named after Mayakovsky. The program of the event included a presentation of the project "Libraries of Novopolotsk in the formation of family reading", as well as a meeting with the author of children's books, a member of the Union of Writers of Belarus and the Union State of Novopolotsk poet Irina Bogdanova, a laureate of the prize. Petrusya Brovki in the nomination "Literature for children". The students of the lower grades of the gymnasium No. 1 of Neftegrad have prepared a literary composition "There are different meetings" based on the works of the poetess.
In turn, the Kursk colleagues presented to the Novopolochans the work of a fellow countryman – a member of the Union of Writers of Russia, winner of numerous prizes, Honorary Worker of General Education of the Russian Federation, poet Vadim Shekhovtsov, who conducted a blitz review of his works.
Both authors actively communicated with the schoolchildren present at the teleconference. The guys from Novopolotsk and Kursk were happy to complete the last lines of poetry and solve complex anagrams. In conclusion, the colleagues exchanged views and outlined plans for the future.
