Belarus' retail sales up by 2.9% in January-May 2023

MINSK, 16 June (BelTA) – In January-May 2023 retail turnover totaled Br29.1 billion, up by 2.9% year-on-year in comparable prices, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee.

One-day retail sale volume per capita came at Br20.9 as against Br19.1 in the same period a year prior.

Retail outlets accounted for 94.2% of retail sales. In January-May 2023 they reported Br27.4 billion in retail sale volume, or up by 3.2% as against January-May 2022.

In January-May 2023 wholesale sales amounted to Br59.8 billion, or up by 3.4% year-on-year in comparable prices.

In January-May 2023 retailers reported sales of Br1.9 billion, up by 11.6% in comparable prices year-on-year.
