Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoi is visiting Tyumen Oblast of Russia on 20-21 March, BelTA learned from the press service of the diplomatic mission.
The visit began with talks with Governor of the region Aleksandr Moor. The parties discussed in detail the state and prospects for the development of trade and economic cooperation, the supply of Belarusian elevators and agricultural machines and cooperation in agriculture. Ambassador Dmitry Krutoi thanked Aleksandr Moor for extending the regional subsidy mechanism to BELARUS tractors.
The parties also touched on the supply of Belarusian cargo and passenger vehicles, including in connection with the region's large-scale plans to upgrade the public transport fleet. "Belarusian manufacturers can supply the entire line-up of vehicles running on any type of fuel," the embassy stated.
Cooperation in the housing and utilities sector, including energy conservation, water purification, sewerage and water treatment, and the supply of utility equipment, was also considered during the talks. Speaking about the supply of Belarusian special-purpose equipment, overalls and equipment for firefighting, the ambassador said that the Belarusian enterprise Pozhsnab is ready to set up a maintenance center in the region.
In addition, the ambassador and the governor talked over cooperation in tourism, health spa tourism in Belarus. The Tyumen authorities are interested in organizing a direct flight to Minsk and are considering subsidizing it.
The diplomatic mission also lauded the active work of the group on trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Tyumen Oblast which is headed by Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich from the Belarusian side. "In February, a Tyumen delegation visited Belarus, toured major enterprises, the HTP and the Great Stone park, held more than 150 B2B meetings and two ‘technology days’ in the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Belnftekhim concern. The promising projects mapped out during that visit will be thoroughly discussed during the ambassador’s current trip to Tyumen Oblast" the press service added.
