The first Belarusian Olympic champion Sergei Makarenko (rowing and canoeing) presented his memoirs at the sports and cultural festival "Vytoki", BelTA has learned.
· About 200 people took part in the Olympic quiz at Vytoki

During the festival, Sergei Makarenko presented his book "From the Brest Fortress to the Olympic Peak". This is his memoir, published with the support of the NOC. "The book is about my life from the beginning to the end. It has a very extensive sports part, a story about my friends and comrades with whom I worked. How I survived the war, was in Brest and saw the Germans," the author said about his book.
And today the first copies were received by the President of the NOC of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko, the Minister of Sports and Tourism Sergei Kovalchuk and the Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee Yuri Shuleiko.
The third day of the Vytoki festival is in full swing. In the morning, the guys met in an intellectual competition, and now they are finding out who is faster and stronger in the Olympic quest. And there is still a concert and a battle of covers ahead.
