In the Vitebsk region, a drunk man drowned while fishing

According to the Vitebsk regional Department of the Investigative Committee, on the morning of September 24, a 52-year-old resident of Vitebsk, intoxicated, was fishing on Lake Verkhovye near the village of Trigubtsy.

A drunk man fell out of an inflatable boat and drowned. Noticing an empty boat and a body in the water, a pensioner fishing near the scene of the tragedy called the police. According to this fact, the Vitebsk ROSK is checking, the causes and conditions that led to the tragedy are being clarified. It was established that the drowned man lived alone, did not work anywhere, and abused alcoholic beverages.

Since the beginning of 2024, this is the fifth case in the area of drowning of people after drinking alcohol. The investigators of the Vitebsk regional department of the IC once again remind you: it is necessary to strictly observe safety measures on the water.
