Natalya Pavlyuchenko noted that Belarus will launch the Week of Parental Love on 14 October. It will run until 21 October. “On 12-13 October, Polotsk will host another traditional Conversation about what matters: a happy family – a strong state forum, which will also focus on family values. It is held under the auspices of the Council of the Republic in cooperation with the Belarusian Orthodox Church,” she said.
She noted that the forum has a broad agenda and will have an international format. Foreign parliamentarians, primarily from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, will take part. “We will talk about what unites us despite differences in culture or government structure - the traditional family,” she said.
Ahead of the forum, a nationwide day of direct telephone hotlines will be held on 9 October from 15:00 to 17:00, with all members of the Council of the Republic taking part. The hotlines will focus on family policy and improving legislation on marriage and family matters. Detailed information about the direct telephone hotlines is available on the Council of the Republic’s website.
The Conversation about what matters: a happy family – a strong state forum will be held for the 4th time. In 2025, the meeting was hosted by the St. Euphrosyne Convent in Polotsk. Traditionally, the forum focuses on such topics as the upbringing of the younger generation, fostering morality among schoolchildren, creating and strengthening conditions for the birth of healthy children, continuity between generations, and other issues.
