Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Artem Tsuran was elected Chairman of the Minsk City Council of Deputies of the 29th convocation, BELTA reports.

The first session of the Minsk City Council of the new convocation was attended by the Chairman of the Council of the Republic, the authorized representative of the head of state in Minsk Natalya Kochanova, the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev, and the Assistant to the President - Inspector for the City of Minsk Alexander Barsukov.

As Alexander Khizhnyak, one of the elected deputies, noted, when choosing a candidate for the chairman of the Minsk City Council, his authority not only among deputies, but also among the leadership of the Minsk City Executive Committee, experience in public work, including as a deputy, practical and managerial experience were taken into account.
