800 people were trained at the Competence Center of Agricultural Technologies of the Orsha Agricultural College

Three years ago, the Competence Center for Agricultural Technologies was established at the Orsha State Agrarian College with the financial support of the regional budget, which occupies an important place in the educational process.

According to Marina Stulova, the head of the center, its main goal is to consolidate theoretical knowledge with practical skills in diagnostics, maintenance and repair of tractors. This is facilitated by modern stands that help, in particular, to study and diagnose problems in the transmission, electrical equipment, fuel system, steering. In the computer classroom, the device, the principle of operation and maintenance of individual components and mechanisms are studied using specialized software.

The center's facilities are also used by students of specialized educational institutions, for example, from Lepel, Kohanovo Tolochinsky district, Dubrovno, Gorodok, Oktyabrsky settlement, Vitebsk district. The children come here for one and a half to two weeks, live in a hostel, eat in a canteen and are involved in all leisure and educational activities. In addition, the center's base is used in the process of training, retraining and advanced training of adults in the direction of organizations or for personal funds. In total, classes at the center were held for 800 people.

Dmitry Kulik, a teacher of special disciplines, is confident that the new equipment has significantly simplified the educational process and brought it to a higher quality level. It is one thing to explain on a poster or sample, and quite another when a student sees, for example, how the nozzle sprays fuel and, in case of poor-quality supply, can adjust it with his own hands. Visibility contributes to better assimilation of the material.

By the way, colleagues from the Loknyansky Agricultural College of the Pskov region and the Katyn College of Industrial Technologies of the Smolensk region became interested in the possibilities of the center.
