Belarusian tourism capabilities were presented at a meeting of the heads of the tourism administrations of the SCO member states, BElTA learned from the National Tourism Agency.
The meeting was held in Qingdao, Shandong Province)under the chairmanship of Sun Yeli, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China.
Director of the Tourism Department at Belarus’ Sport and Tourism Ministry Irina Voronovich presented a report on cooperation in tourism between Belarus and the SCO. She emphasized the country’s contribution to the development of regional tourism exchange. The parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects for cooperation between the SCO member states in the field of tourism. The parties noted the progress achieved in recent years and shared their experience in developing the tourism industry in their countries.
Meetings were also held with representatives of the tourism industry of China to discuss Belarus’ tourism potential and its promotion as an attractive destination for inbound tourism.
