Agriculture among major contributors to Belarus’ GDP
According to preliminary data, the agricultural industry contributed 6.6% to the country's GDP last year, reads the statistical review of the Belarusian National Statistical Committee, BelTA has learned.
The food industry contributed 25.4% to the total industrial output in January-October 2024.
The food industry holds the lion’s share in the processing industry and employs 156,400 people. This accounts for 3.8% of all people employed in the economy. The average salary of workers in this industry is Br2,288,700.
